Wire Rod Mill
Towards forward integration of the processes,
company has set up Wire Rod manufacturing & Wire Drawing facilities
(HB Wire) at Raipur for manufacturing high quality Wire Rod of sizes 5.0
mm, 5.5 mm, 6.5 mm, 7 mm, 8 mm & 10 mm and HB wire of sizes 6 gauge
to 14 Gauge with best available technology and plant & machinery
support.
Since the raw material i.e. Steel Billets /Blooms is manufactured in
the Steel Melting Shop at Champa, the company is able to produce high
quality Wire Rod & H.B. Wire in an efficient & cost effective
manner.
These products are used for various applications including Binding
wire, Gl wire, Barbed wire for fencing, Armored sealed wire for heavy
electrical cables, Nut bolts, Nails, screws, Alpine. Wire ropes. Wire
mesh etc.
- Established a state-of-the-art Wire Rod Mill at Raipur.
- Manufacturing 5.0 mm, 5.5 mm, 6.5 mm, 7 mm, 8 mm & 10 mm
size Wire Rods.
- Wire drawing facility to manufacture HB Wire of different
sizes.

TMT Mill
With growing demands of TMT Bars due to
substantial increase in construction and infrastructure projects in the
country, Company has also set up a TMT mill with most advance technology
equipment to manufacture high quality TMT bars to further enhance its
product range.
"No Twist Block Technology" has been used in this mill to
maintain best surface finish and other desired features in the TMT bars.
- Established TMT Rolling Mill with latest technology
equipments at Raipur.
- Manufacturing TMT bars of sizes 8 mm to 32 mm.
- Using "No Twist Block Technology" to make the
product stable, uniform and free from any type of scale.

No Twist Block Technology
PRAKASH TMT bar is manufactured using No Twist Block Technology
to maintain better surface finish as desired in TMT bars. In this
technology, conventional Cast Iron roll with pass life of 50 to 70 Tons are
replaced with Tungston Carbide rings having pass life of 600 to 700 Tons
with super finish surface of the TMT bar. PIL is the first manufacturer
after SAIL and TATA manufacturing of TMT bars in Block mill.
The advantages of No Twist Block Technology includes the
following:
- Product will be stable, uniform and free from any type of scale
- Through Bloch Technology we are able to control the same depth of
rib for whole production / section of TMT Bar
- Extra shining of TMT bars will be resulted from the technology
- On spot setting not required
- Section control is simple
- Maintenance Frequency is low
- Final speed can go upto 80 meter/sec

Properties
PRAKASH TMT bars has following Properties :-
Earthquake Resistance: PRAKASH TMT bars strength and
ductility are sufficient to make it earthquake resistant. With a yield
strength ranging from 415 N/mm2 to 500 N/mm2, PRAKASH TMT
ensures the required strength for a safe home.
Corrosion Resistance:Controlled water cooling prevents the formation
of the carbide which has been cited as a main cause for corrosive nature of
the TMT bars. PRAKASH TMT ensures the required corrosion
resistance through its manufacturing process.
Strain Aging: Due to unique manufacturing process and chemical
composition, PRAKASH TMT bars shows no tendency of embitterment
either through welding or cold deformation of the welding joints.
Bendability: Tough outer surface and soft core of the PRAKASH
TMT make the TMT bars bendable and ideal for construction.
Fire Resistance:As compared to Tor steel, PRAKASH TMT
bars have high thermal stability and therefore can withstand on elevated
temperatures.
Weldability: PRAKASHTMT bars can be used for butt and
other welded joints without reduction in the strength at the welded joints..
